'From Farm to Table' question for you!

Did you find my weekly menus helpful?  Did you find my shopping trips helpful?  I am debating whether or not I should continue either or both through the month of February.  I have thought about continuing my shopping trips through February since I buy a lot in bulk.  In the month of January there were lots of items we ate that I never bought, and another month might give you more of a window into my buying habits and costs.  BUT I don't want to bore you with unnecessary details.

So please leave a comment if you'd like for either the menus or the shopping trips to continue through February, okay?  Based on feedback (or lack thereof) I will either stop or continue.  Thanks, friends!!

  1. I have found it very helpful to see how you do your meals and shopping. I would love it if you continued it for another month.

  2. Honestly, I didn't find it helpful or interesting since you didn't really provide much detail--they were basically just lists. Perhaps if they were also accompanied by some narrative (i.e. explanations, insights, tips, etc.).

Otherwise, I really do enjoy your blog.

    Thank you.

  3. Not answering your question, but I thought it would be a good place for a request. I'd love to hear about how you make your own baby food. Do you like the "Super Baby Food" method?

  4. Super helpful for me, especially to see how much you spend on produce, meat/poultry, etc. each month and to see what you've been making with what you have. I've passed it on to a couple other people who have also found this series really helpful.

  5. I'd love for you to continue this series and would benefit from some added info (as suggested by Miss Orloff above). Thanks! ~Lisa :)

  6. Lisa/Miss Orloff -- What additional info would be helpful to have alongside either menus or grocery shopping breakdowns?

  7. Connie -- actually have a little post coming up about baby food this next week. If you have more questions after that, ask me! :)

  8. Christy, for me, I know I'd benefit from seeing what cuts of beef you buy (when you list "beef") and how you use it (menu/recipes/leftovers...). That's just one example. I'm always on the look out for idea inspiration to reduce/stretch our grocery budget without compromising, and so I do appreciate and thank you for what you do share here. :) Blessings, ~Lisa
